PIPS Technology offers PAGIS (Police ALPR Graphical Interface System) software designed for law enforcement. This technology allows an officer to automatically scan thousands of license plates daily compared to several hundred using today's conventional means. PAGIS utilizes PIPS dual lensed cameras to capture plates and color images of moving and parked vehicles. The software automatically compares the collected license plate data to databases of suspect or stolen vehicles and alerts the user of any "hits" or matches. Even with millions of records in the database, PAGIS can return a match in a fraction of a second. Results from the plate match can be verified with law enforcement databases to reveal more relevant information about suspect drivers.
